I just started exercising and my thighs are chafing. Any suggestions?

You can find body glide in sporting goods stores. I use tight bicycle or Danskin shorts under my pants OR I use the great "dual layer" shorts from Junonia.

I also use baby cornstarch (NOT powder) to help with chaffing.

Edit: "they" say that cornstarch can breed yeast, but I've NEVER had a yeast infection anywhere in my whole life... so... there ya go. Baby powder doesn't work nearly as well. I use corn starch every morning to keep everything dry and happy and infection/rash free.

I wear capris or yoga pants when I exercise for this very reason.  In fact, it was only recently that I could wear shorts and not have chafing from simply walking.

I tried the anti-chafe gel from Monistat (you can get it at normal stores like Walmart) but my chafing was too severe to be helped by this when I was much heavier.

It sucks and I feel for you.  Good luck!

A great thing to help already raw legs is Boudreaux's Butt Paste. It's for diaper rash but works miracles on chaffing.

I recommend getting bike shorts or capris to work out in. I still get major chub rub on my thighs if I wear regular shorts (and why the heck do shorts getting shorter when sizes go down...ughh)
