Almost two years out! WITH PICTURES!

Hello my OH Friends. Long time, no see! I hope life has been treating you all well. I won't prolong this message. I'll just tell you newly sleeved, soon to be sleeved, and on the fence sleevers what you need to hear.

1. I have NO regrets. I would do this all over again!

2. It is NOT a quick fix or a get skinny fast scheme. There is still work to be done!

3. You CAN gain the weight back if you don't follow your orders. This is NOT a diet. It is a lifestyle change.

4. You will LOVE taking pictures again! I've become kinda vain! LOL

5. My NSV's....TOO many to name! I can cross my legs (somewhat), I can jog, I don't have to use the handicap bathroom anymore, I workout and feel so much better doing it. I can walk and talk at the same time! I went from a size 32-34 to a 20-22, I can wear boots up my calf! I can shop in STORES and not just online! I can wear a belt around my waist. I am super confident! People always tell me that I look good and my outfits are always on point!...yeah, I could go on, but I won't. Not bragging, just letting you all know how wonderful this surgery has been for me!

6. I don't have precise measurements, but before surgery, I weighed 409 pounds. Today, I weight 295. I've lost an insecure, lonely woman of 114 pounds. And I have to say, I DON'T MISS HER!

7. The attention from guys has increased! Still single, BUT my choices have increased! J

8. My confidence has gone through the roof! I’m not conceited, but I have to admit, I really love the person I’m becoming.

9. My restriction after nearly two years is still snug tight. Of course, I came eat more than three months after surgery, but even today, I cannot eat much. I get that satisfied feeling, and unlike before surgery when I could just continue to shove food into my mouth, I can’t do that now. Listen to your sleeve when it tells you that you are no longer in need of food.

10. WATER! Need I say more? Drink it without ceasing! I’m working on adding more water to my daily intake. I keep a bottle on my desk at work, and I dry to drain it at least once a day. MOMENT OF TRUTH/CONFESSION: I’ve got to admit that I struggled with Cokes before surgery, and I still struggle with Cokes today. (HEY, DON’T JUDGE ME as I’m sure we ALL have our areas of weakness, but this is about mine) I do not drink them AS often as I used to. Before my sleeve, I could drink probably 3 or 4 20oz bottles a DAY and not feel bad! But now, I may have a Coke if I go out with friends for dinner, and even then, I only have a few sips, BUT, I STILL DON’T NEED THEM! In fact, I’m making an effort to remove them from my life completely. I don’t buy them for my home or at work, but EVERY NOW AND THEN, the URGE just overwhelms me! But as I’ve done for the past two years, I’m sacrificing Cokes for Lent. Maybe this year, the fast will last longer than 40 days!

11. I do Zumba 3x a week, and I try to get cardio in those other days. I find that I love exercising! I PROMISE I am not just saying that. In fact, I hate to go, but once I get there and get into it, I’m in my ZONE!

12. I love my sleeve!
