UHC Approval Letter

I received my approval letter in the mail from United HealthCare today.  The approval process was quick.  They received it on 7/29 & approval letter was addressed for 8/1.  I am super excited and wish I could schedule my surgery for this month.  Unfortunately, I will need to wait until September because I just started training for a new position with my company earlier this week that lasts for a few weeks.  Can wait to be on the losers bench and all of the benefits that come along with that.

Congratulations! I love happy insurance endings (especially with UHC since mine was not so happy for quite a while.) Mind if i ask what your plan criteria was to qualify?

My insurance requirements were BMI 40, or 35 with co-morbidities, Psych eval, and 6 month supervised diet.

I am hoping when my 6 months is up, it will be quick too.  I just had my 3rd appointment, so only 3 more to go.

Good luck. I completed all of my required clearances right before my 6 month visit appt as well as met with the surgeon along with completely their required clearances. I was determined to have all of this out of the way before my schedule changed.
