53 lbs and counting!! Whoop Whoop

Haven't been here for a while! As of today I am down 53 pounds since the start of this process. IT IS NOT EASY!! The surgery was the easy part...everything else "the brain" is the hard part. moving, walking, swimming, all that hasn't come easy. Remove thy arse from the couch has been difficult. Remembering that my stomach is now smaller and therefore ALL that food I put on my plate is not going to fit. I went into this process with my eyes wide open, knowing this was not a magic bullet. And even with all the research, the process of really readying myself for this, it's a challenge.  This is a day to day process, some are good, some are better.  And some....well???? For those considering this process, read everything you can. educate yourselves as much as possible. All the tools you learn before will be priceless afterwards.

Nothing is better than have people tell you how amazing you look, how thin you're getting. Yep, that's a smaller me in the mirror!!

Congratulations on 53 pounds lost, that's quite an accomplishment, you should be proud!! angry

It's been a struggling for me during & after weight loss too.  It's been worth it though.  I know sometimes I forget what I used to look like at 280 pounds.  I just saw some pics on my dad's phone this past weekend that kinda startled me.  I guess that was from years of not wanting to admit or acknowledge that I really was that big.  I still am kinda lazy & haven't committed to working out on a regular basis.  I have become a newer person who I have been learning to love myself more as time goes by.  The rewards of this surgery are worth the hard work we put into it for sure.

Congratulations on losing 53 pounds.  That's wonderful.  I couldn't agree more on the "practicing the tools before surgery."

Keep up the good work, and you'll be at goal in no time!

Congrats on the big loss!  And you're right - getting the surgery was actually the easy part.  Living with the results of the surgery, that's going to take a lifetime of work.  But TOTALLY worth it!
