50lbs and still no one notices?
Hi all! So I am now 2 months out and have lost 50lbs. I feel great emotionally and physically. I have gone from a 2XL top to XL and 20 pants to a 16 (which is getting loose). I'm starting to see my neck and collarbones and my chin no longer touches my chest! All wonderful, but why aren't people noticing? It feels a little off putting. I know not everyone is comfortable commenting on weight loss, but sheesh, can I get just ONE "Hey, have you lost weight?" When did people start to take notice for you?
I would be inclined to think that they are noticing, but are too polite to talk about your weight. (This is certainly what I'm hoping for. If my bff wants to comment, that's great, but I don't want other people talking to me about my weight.)

I bet people will notice in the next month or two. It seemed like when I passed plus sizes I was hearing the comments left & right. It took me longer than you. You will hear them very soon, I'm sure of it!
BTW, congrats on a great 2 months. A 50 pound loss is amazing! I lost 48 pounds in my first 3 months!!!

WWBD?
I always saw it this way- Like all the many pounds I had to lose equaled a ginormous full bag of m&ms--no one notices the bag emptying until about half way down--then every small little m (pound) is noticed--the fewer- the more noticable. It's going to happen- just wait. Congratulations on your loss. Well done, you!

If your clothes are kind of loose and baggy on you people won't REALLY notice until you start wearing things that are more form-fitting. Then they'll be like "OMG! You've lost a ton of weight!" I know for me that it took at least 30 lbs. for people close to me to say, "Hey, did you cut your hair or something" but by 50 lbs. people were really starting to notice...but many didn't say anything because it's considered rude to comment on a person's size.
People tend not to say to me "wow, you've lost a lot of weight". They say, "man, you're looking great" or "you're looking so good".
I'm with Tracy on this one. Well fitting clothes will make a big difference.
Sleeved 6/12/13 - 100 pounds lost to get to goal!
I bet plenty of people have noticed - they are just too afraid to say anything b/c it is considered rude to comment on someone's weight.

I had a lot of weight to lose, and at 50 pounds lost, no one noticed, either. I think when I was down about 80 pounds was when I got some comments. Once I was down 150 pounds, everyone would comment, and by then, it was old news to me. Funny how that happens!
Don't worry. They'll notice soon enough!
Great job losing 50 pounds in 2 months. That's fantastic!
