Sleep Study: Scared!

I don't know why I'm nervous. Actually I do! I suffer from anxiety and my biggest worry is my heart. I have a slow heart rate for being so unfit and overweight. I've been to a cardiologist and I've been told I'm fine and my doctors never seem to worry when I tell them. It never happens in office because I have white coat syndrome.

Anyway, I'm scared that during my sleep study they will tell me my heart rate is too slow and I need to go see a heart specialist. UGH!!!! I can never relax :( I get scared of surgery too but I dont want to let fear stop me from being healthy.

if you have a problem with your heart your best to see a cardiologist  before you have surgery , you don't want any surprises in the or , they will probably want you to do a stress test , I had one no biggy

and by the way most people that have a sleep study need a cpap machine

According to the cardiologist I have nothing wrong. I did a stress test as well and had an ultrasound done.

I just get worried.

They think I have mild sleep apnea that will be alleviated by WLS.

I've had several EKGs and I've always been told I have a slow heart rate--I think the technical term is something like sinusoidal brachycardia--that basically means that my resting heart rate is less than 60 beats per minute, but it's regular.  I've had it described as I'm just a very chill person.  I've done 2x sleep studies and they never said anything about my heart rate.  They are primarily going to be concerned with your oxygen saturation and breathing.  If your cardiologist is not alarmed, they won't be.  :D

Embrace your inner chillosity!  :D
