hello everyone in here and it is day 1 post op and all is good, the gas filled abdominal area is a little sore and uncomfortable, they have been keeping my pain under control and have only had to empty my drain bottle once so far. Can not have anything to drink yet only ice chips .

Sounds like you are doing awesome. I am going to have a drain too, so how does it feel having one?

Drain don't hurt it just hangs there and I just put it in my pocket on the shorts that I am wearing. No leakage or any other problems with the drain

Worst part of the drain bag for me was the adhesive they used to put it on. I had my surgery just over a month ago and I was drying off after a shower yesterday, looked down and saw a little bit of the adhesive was still there.... strong stuff.

I'm glad to hear all is going well !! I had a drain also it can be annoying I think more mentally then anything... lol at least for me I was worried I would get it caught on something !!! They kept mine in for almost 10 days !!! :-)

I had surgery in Mexico on Sept. 1. I barely knew I was in Mexico. The driver was fluent. Everyone at the hotel was fluent. The doctors and nurses at the hospital were fluent.

Worst part? Only a few English channels on TV. lol

Best part? It was less than half the cost of doing it in the US.
