Raw sugar cane

Ditto for me. Sugar is sugar, and it was the main component of my food addiction for many years. I now choose non-processed carbs that are also considered complex carbs, and I don't eat them freely. I keep it low carb and high quality protein.
It depends on your plan. I certainly limit sugar, because it's very caloric, but I have it from time to time.
With VSG you -can- eat anything. What you choose to eat or not depends on your plan.

mmmmm growing up in FL, I remember buying sticks of cane just to chew on the inside. Good memories!
That being said - nothing is off-limits, but you must realize that those natural sugars of all kinds will do nothing to help you lose weight. I'm not about deprivation of anything, though, but you must be mindful of what you're eating. If you've gotten plenty of protein in for the day and that is your indulgence for that day, then do it withing reason....but don't go butt-wild

Discontinue all sugars to the fullest extent possible. Sugars will mostly derail you and keep you in a craving cycle.
Best to get used to the idea of "eat real food" now.
