Do stalls last 4 weeks

I'm also 5'7" and 50yo with very similar starting weight, and my experience is that carbs are the killers of weight loss. No matter how good I am about the calories and protein and stuff, carbs will slow me down every time. Try to get your protein to over 80g and water over 80oz, and try to get more dense protein like chicken, and really go hard core on minimizing carbs. I'm in the same boat - I've been stuck for a while, so I have to tighten it up and finish losing those last few pounds (hoping for 135). Hang in there - you can do this!! :)
Are you tracking everything you eat? You should work on increasing your water. And, yes, it's possible for a stall to last that long but you're only done losing when you want to be.

I am also 5 months out. I had a higher starting weight at 270 on surgery day. Currently I am 220. I am happy with the average loss of 10lbs a month. I had a roller coaster of a month in October. Actually gained 5lbs in g he first two weeks of October then lost 6lbs in a week and stayed the same for almost two weeks. Crazy!!! How often do you weigh yourself? I weigh only once a week. I had my husband hide the scale from me. These sta,, s suck really bad and are very discouraging. If you stick to it I am sure gou will reach your goal.
Best wishes!!!!
I would up your water and exercise and see if that helps. According to the water calculation thing you should be drinking at least 70oz of water a day minimum and they say for every 30minutes of hard exercise you do you should at another 15oz. But if I were you id try drinking at least 100oz a day minimum and see if that helps. Good luck! Also make sure you are tracking everything you eat.
