Thursday is the day and I am so nervous.

Thursday is the day! I am supposed to be at the hospital at noon. I am getting very nervous. But then again I sit and stress over it. I think my nerves are getting the best of me, the fear of afterwards how I will feel, if I can do this, etc...anybody else have these issues beforehand?

I'm right there with you!!! My surgery day is the 15th, and I'm nervous, but very excited! Over the last couple of days, if I found myself getting into super worried mode, I try to jump to how amazing this journey is going to be once the surgery is done!

Today to take my mind off of it, I cleaned out my closet of my largest sizes that I Will Never Ever Wear Again!! Ever since I "cleaned out the closet" I have been riding high!!!

It is a natural response to be nervous, this is a big procedure, and should not be taking lightly. But I could to focus on all the positives that will come from this, my new life!!

I recommend saving one piece of largest size clothing for comparison down the road. When I am having a bad day, it helps me to put on my size 34 pants to remind me how far I've come.

This is very common and expected. You are about to have major surgery, who wouldn't be nervous? Just take some deep breaths and remind yourself why you are doing it. It will be over soon and you will be on your way to healthy in no time! Best of luck to you.

I had my surgery 9 months ago. I won't lie, the first few weeks after surgery aren't easy but it does get better. I'm no longer on any prescriptions and have gone from "smo" to "mo" to just "o". My next goal is "n".
