They say 10 lbs = 1 dress size (whoever THEY are...lol). I have lost 14 lbs so far...my jeans are no looser than they were before (yet).

What do you find to be true for you?

I found that rule not to be true until I hit about size 10 - then it became true.  I was in a 14 for at least 30 lbs.

Funny that you mention that. At my lowest weight i was a 14. I put some back on and i was still a 14....like 30lbs. Im down about 12lbs now and still sitting in a 14.

Based on my experience going from 1X-2X down to 0-2, the 'poundage' difference between dress sizes became less and less. At the top end, the difference was 20-30 pounds. At my current weight, the difference is less than 10 pounds - around 7 or 8.

It takes a LOT of weight loss to go down from a size 20 to 18 - more like 20-25 lbs.

Ten pounds sounds about right once you get down to the small sizes.  Ten pounds for me is the difference between a size 6 and a size 8.  Pants and skirts only though.

For me, it's more like 15-20 pounds per size.  Maybe the smaller I get the less I will have to lose to change sizes.  That will be nice.

I've lost 65 pounds and have gone from a size 18W to a 14.

I was a 30-32 at my highest weight and have lost 84 pounds. I am now in a 22...I think!

My stretch pants and tunics still fit, but they do bag and sag, but I am not swimming in them...yet!

So I think the bigger you start out the more weight you need to lose between sizes...

Started at a 26 in jeans. I'm down 70lbs, and am STILL in the same size... better fitting, of course, but my thunder thighs still won't let me drop a size. Frustrating! I wi**** was 10lbs = 1 size. I'd be out of the plus sizes by now. lol Maybe someday :)

With less to lose, it will probably take way fewer pounds to make a difference. I'm sure you will be dropping sizes in no time! :)
