6 months post op, down 70 pounds.  Feeling good.

It just seems to be coming off very slowly now.

Hey there LisaKelley...

That is about 10 pounds per month give or take. I'm little over one month out and I've lost only 10 pounds so I guess I will lose slowly too. I hit a big FAT wall/stall and been stuck at my current weight almost 2-3 weeks now. 70 POUNDS is awesome though!! Your doing GREAT!! I can't wait to get 70 pounds down from where I am now. Hang in there.

Congratulations on losing 70 pounds in your first 6 months. That great.  Yes, it slows down but it doesn't stop.  I found I lost at about half the rate at 6 months out, and half again at 1 year out.  But I still got to goal by 15 months post-op.

Remember how far you've come already and that every month you are getting healthier and closer to goal.  Try not to worry too much about how fast you are losing.  In the long run, does it really matter if it take 6 months? or 1 year? or 18 months? or 2 years? to get to goal.  As long as we are making progress, every month you will be healthier and looking better.

best wishes,

Carol

I'm 6 months post op I'm down 98 lbs in total and 83 lbs since the day after surgery. I'm now 226lbs. The weight is coming off of me every slow now as well. It's a bit of a bummer but reading what other posted. It doesn't matter how long it takes just as long as it comes off. I was hoping to be at my goal weight by my 1 year post op at least I hope to be at or below 200 by the end of June. Keep up the great work!
