I love this Thread up Online thrift store I mentioned in another post.  And Ive got this great basket of stuff Im waiting to buy till they give me credit for the last shipment of too big clothes I sent in a couple weeks ago.  Way too much stuff in the basket... I lose it all & regain it one minute later so it keeps for another day.  They hold your stuff for 24hrs after its in your cart... Once I get the credit, I allow myself to spend it plus maybe $20-30 or so, usually in my next size down.  This basket is all Mediums!!!!

Anyways, Im looking at it and it is all predominately black... I so want to get away from that.  I mean they are smaller, fitted, cute clothes, but black.  Its hard to break yourself away from your historical past trends... Just saying...

I have a tendency to buy things in black too. I do think it is all in our heads but I feel better in them lol. I am planning on trying some colored shorts soon! So i am pretty excited about that haha. I never thought I could pull off the bright colored bottoms but think they are cute.

Anyways! YAY for mediums!!!

I am a black clothes girl too. Maybe I should say that I *was* anyway. I signed up for Stitch Fix and now have all sorts of color added to my wardrobe. It is awesome. Stitch Fix is a nice way to learn how to dress our new bodies and break us out of those ruts. I highly suggest checking them out if you haven't already!

I went to stich fix, kinda interesting looking.  Have you tried it yet?  To me it looks like you pay $20 for them to style you a few outfits and you try them on and buy if you like it?

So my question is, if you wear it, do you have to buy it?  (id imagine yes...)  And also are the clothes reasonably priced or are they higher than avg?  Do you have to pay return postage on the stuff you don't want?  Sounds interesting and maybe really fun, but wondering if they add more fees that you don't see at first.

Really curious to hear your answer... Also send me your referral link so I can get you the extra money if I decide to use?

My referral link is above. I've been doing it for 3 months now and love it. It does cost $20 a month but if you buy anything in the box the $20 comes off the price (so it isn't lost money). The only time you forfeit the $20 is if you return it all.

You get 2-3 days to decide if you want to buy any of it. If you do, you pay online and keep your items. You return anything you aren't buying in a postage paid envelope. You fill out a pretty in-depth style profile so they have a good idea of your preferences and style. I've kept 2-3 things out of every box. If you find you love everything in your box, you get 25% off the entire box too!

The brands are what you would see at Sacks or Nordstrom, etc. Pricing you do give input on in your profile so that they send items in a budget you are expecting. All of my boxes have averaged around $28-$68 each piece

I've loved it and highly recommend trying it if you find yourself in a style rut. I love that it helps me try new things on this new body! I've been pushed out of my comfort zone and like it!

That's funny.  Acutally, I was in a bad clothes rut when I was heavy.  Summer, pull on long pants, camp shirts. Winter, elastic waist cords, long sleeve t's.   As I lost and finally realized I was going to have everything for such a short time, I picked out some pretty funky stuff from the Thrift Store to wear for a while.  I tried lots of "styles" on the way down and lots of colors I would have never worn before.  I still shop at the Thrift store mainly but we also have a Dillard Clearance here that has stuff 50% off 70% off so I can get new for less that 10 for most things.  I have gone back in some part to my rut.  I still love camp shirts but mine are much smaller these days, baggy shorts (it's just too hot for anything hugging my body) winter, now cords but they are jeans and I add a sweater to the long sleeve tees.

Congrats of the Mediums!  I used to wear a lot of black too but the only plain black I've worn lately was the "little" black dress I got for my DD's wedding (a dream come true).  Now I buy a lot of brighter colors.

What was the name of that website again?

Im actually stretching myself on one color wearing bright accent pieces.  But the base always seems to be black or blue.  I thought about it and its probably ok for now, because it enables me to streatch my wardrobe by only buying a few basic items and bunche of tops.  Heres the link for the site, hope it works for you!  Thredup  It has the extra $10 imbedded into it
