Woo Hoo...I made it. I am an official loser :) The doc decided it was better for me to be a little further from him but with people and let me come home after two days in a hotel room. I was out on New Years Day. Im still a little uncomfortable but feel great. I have a friend staying with me who takes me to the store with her and makes me walk around. Much better than being stuck in a hotel room where I dont know the area well. I am still on clear liquids but should be able to move it up next week and add some other goodies. I tell you what...my body is craving protien in the worst way...lol. I want a turkey meatball with just a tiny bit of spaghetti(sp?) sauce in the worst way...lol. The time will come. In the mean time...popcicles are my best friend and I never thought I would look forward to taking my vitamins, but hey...its something to chew...lol. Good luck to all starting your journey and my prayers are with all going through surgery. Love and Light

Way to go Jamie! You made it! Like you said before the previous doctor and surgery date just was not meant to be. You were so much more at peace when things went this way. I'm glad it came together quickly so you didn't have to go throught tons of testing again. I'll be waiting to hear the good and bad of WLS as I'm only a little over a month behind you.
Amanda, you did a great job of getting the post on. Your mom said you were smart. Don't forget to feed all of the animals, especially the geese. Don't worry mom will be home soon and by summer will be able to do so many fun things with you as her healthy new self.
Happy New Year Jamie and her whole family!

Good idea on calling in sick! What a strange rule that doctor has about not giving u a release from work until that day! Hope your surgery is uneventful and recovery quick and painless! God bless and see you on the other side!

Hi everyone, I went for my pre-opp tests yesterday and I am one healthy fat woman...hehehe. Surgery is on Monday morning and I have to be there at 8:15am. I am the 3rd surgery for the day. My daughter will post for me when she finds out how I did. My work wont let me off of work unless I get the doctor to sign me off but they wont sign me off until the day of surgery. Has anyone had to use the magnesium citrate and be at work at the same time? It seems like one of those things that I would think nearly impossible. Im calling in sick and going to take the consequences. I dont want to be half an hour from home and have that stuff kick in and not make it to the rest room. Not to mention I dont work a job where I can come and go as I please, I have to stay put. Yep...Im thinking calling in sick will work for me...lol. I wont be posting again until I get back, but look for my daughters post if you want to see how I did. See you all on the losing side :) Love and Light
