Dawn, lol, I know what you mean about the hunger not being there, but lemmie tell you, you will have hunger again later on. Thisis the time to keep forming those healthy eating HABITS! You wont believe how you'll crave vegetables and fruit instead of greasy burgers and stuff... I am amazed. Hey, if you want, I have a group you might wanna join. 07/27/03 Profile is still messed up so another update here.I went to the doctor on 07/24 for my 2 week check up. I had lost 22lbs. and am feeling great.I can not believe Doctor Leverton is leaving BTC.I will get to see her one last time at my 6 week check. I am now 3weeks post op and have lost27lbs. as of this morning. It seems unreal at times. My biggest problem is not wanting to eat. Who would have thought it! I go back to work on Tuesday. I am anxious to get back but am a little nervous about eating correctly. I will see how it goes. Best wishes to all.

I have made a mess of my profile page so I will update this way. Surgery was 07/07/03 Things went very well. Had a little problem with the kidneys on day 2 but they took care of it. BTC in Wylie was beyond great. They took such good care of me. Dr. Leverton came in 3-4 times a day to check on me. I am now 10 days post-op and feeling wonderful. I had queasiness last week but no more. I am walking 1 mile each evening for the last 4 days. Been shopping,visiting and trying to keep from getting bored. I gained 12lbs in the hospital due to all the fluids but... I weighed on Tuesday and had lost that 12 and 13 more. I just can not believe it has happened. So far very little head hunger almost no real hunger and already more energy. I never felt better being called a LOSER!!!!Best wishes to all on their journey.

Hi all! I just got back from visiting Dawna. She is doing awesome! She was walking when I got there, and she sat and talked to me for about an hour. I sure hope I look as good when I get through it as she does. Dawna, you are a trooper! It was so great to meet you. :)

Dawna, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. May peace and love surround you on your journey and carry you along safely. Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile. As you know, our profiles provide a lifeline to others embarking on this journey. You never know who you might inspire!

Today is the big day for Dawna. I will be stopping in to see her tomorrow. I will also try to call her today to see how everything is going. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she joins the losers.

Hi sweetheart... well know you will be in alot of pain soon but tell you what its going to be your RE-Birthday... give you 6 months and you will be shouting how wonder this thing is... this new beginning. The first few weeks will be alittle tuff adjusting...the next few weeks its trail and error on what you can eat and better not eat... then the pounds start falling off and folks start in with those compliments and OMG your in HEAVEN... welp ... im not there yet but i know some pounds have fallen off so im waiting for those boosts of confidence to start showing up... MUST have been a traffic jam dang... LOL Im 5 weeks out and in that trial and error stage... I can not wait till its really noticeable that im losing..... first time i wished the summer away LOL i tell you. welp thinking of you and wishing you all the best on that surgery.... HAPPY Re-Birthday girl!!!!!
