Honey, what you're feeling is very normal. I remember as a baby post op crying over an episode of "EVERYONE LOVES RAYMOND" because they where all eating pancakes, something I hadn't eaten in 18 months previous to my surgery and while watching a show I never liked anyway..lol. IT wasn't till I was post op about 8 weeks that "normalicy" started to seep in. There are several stages of mourning, and YES,my friend we ALL mourn food in our own way! I'm not suggesting that you're weak or nuts in ANY way, but if you find that you are stuck in any of the stages too long, a nice long talk with someone that is qualified may help. That is why I do NOT miss my weekly group nor my monthly support session. Gives me a chance to vent and to hear that I'm NOT alone in my journey...HOGS N QUICHES YOUR WAY!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

08/28/03 Well, it's been a LONNNNNG WHILE since I've updated, for many different reasons.. and this will be short, for now. I had surgery Monday 8/25/03 and came home in the last hour. It's been a difficult time for me and I'm still adjusting but hoping to continue to put all my hope and faith in God and KNOW that he'll take care of me. There are a lot of things I want to say here but it will have to wait a lil while, till I feel more up to it. For those that knew of my surgery and prayed for me and kept me in their thoughts, Thank you! Thank you to Kim for the beautiful flowers and well wishes. I couldn't have made it thru these past few days without my Mom, Dad and sister, my Aunt reminding me that the things I'm going thru are normal for this procedure and my ANGEL ON EARTH husband who is so much more than I deserve. I love you honey. You are truly a blessing to me from God!!! Hope you are all well, take care. God Bless. Irene
