Lea Tompkins

"Lea has started a WLS support group at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. It has people at various stages in their WLS journey and she is an excellent facilitator. She listens extremely well and responds positively to everyone's input, even those of us who need a kick in the butt to get back on track with our nutrition choices. "

Thomas Cerabona

"Dr. Cerabona is a very highly qualified and respected surgeon. I got off to a rocky start with him, but it was mostly administrative (office personel) problems and I am very satisfied with the care I received in the hospital and post op. His office staff are very overwhelmed so you need to stay on top of them all the time. Do not assume that reports that you need were sent to them or that they submitted any reports you may have needed them to submit to your work or whoever. Always follow up and keep calling until you get an answer, I learned this the hard way and had many an unneccessary delay because of it. The support group that is affiliated with Dr Cerabona is run by a social worker at the hospital and unfortunatly they do not accept my insurance (they charge a fee to attend the support group) and I cannot afford to go as I am unemployed right now. I would highly reccomend Dr Cerabona or his partner Dr. Kaul , the only down side is that they only use Westchester Medical Center which can be a nightmare (surgical dr's and nurses great, floor nurses and aides can be horrible)"

Westchester Medical Center

"The surgical staff were great, the recovery room staff were at times great and at times very unprofessional. Once I got up to the "regular floor" my care went totally downhill, took hours to have needs met, from water, to help getting up, to the correct liquid to drink, to even getting my meds.... a nightmare. I was so thankful to be going home!!"
