Hi Juat me Katie checking in --- well its been what 2 1/2 years since I had my surgery and man am I horrible at updating my profile so if you happen to come to this and read let me just say I am doing great - I am down now to 140 lbs. I am back to work - I was not working for almost 3 years - I have been skydiving- climbed Half Dome-most importantly I have many several wonderful friendships that I consider priceless. Yes I am so much healthier physically but emotionally I am much happier now getting out there living life and not being alone. Hugs to those of you who are old pals and good luck to those of you just getting started -- email me if you have questions but check to be sure that the correct email address is in your profile or I can't write back.

Hey everyone! First of all thanks so much for all of your support and wonderful posts - -It helped so much going into surgery knowing that I had so many good thoughts coming my way. As for surgery it went really well. I had surgery on Tuesday 03/25/2003 and went home on Thursday- To date the only problem I have had is with scrambled eggs. Oh gross!!! They do not agree with me. As for weight results as of my first post-op visit I had lost 12 lbs. and from Monday 03/24 to today I have lost 26 inches overall. Yahoo. I half wish I had a scale so I could check my weight at home, but then when I do I will see more dramatic results. Right?? Oh well thanks again- and to anyone pre-op don't worry - it really is worth the effort.

To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed. Bernard Edmonds
