"Dr Pitt is a very business-like person. He tells you exactly what you need to hear without all the flowering talk. He points out the risks involved & tells you straight up if he thinks this is going to be an easy procedure or not. His staff is very professional. Dr Pitt's nurse Heidi was extremely helpful & friendly. He is starting a program with the Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO for bariatric surgery. "
"I thought the nursing staff at SouthPointe was awful. I had my wife staying with me most of the time & she was not impressed with the nurse's friendliness or responsiveness. I had several bad IV lines installed & they created a few problems in my arms(severe bruising). I had several sores develop due to the nurse's not checking on me. This may have been due to my wife being there, but my wife isn't a nurse. The staff didn't realize what kind of surgery I had or even care as they didn't try & get to know you at all. I'm lactose intolerant & yet I was served with milk products everyday I was at the hospital. Nurses were very unresponsive & seemed to not care about you as a patient. I know it's not a nurse's job to be friends with you but a smile sure is nice once in awhile. An overall awful experience at SouthPointe after my surgery."
