Hi Everyone! I am now 2 days post-op and feeling every bit of it between my pai meds! :) Cannot complain. I tried to increase my liquid intake to 8 oz today (starting with the 2 oz and adding 1 oz per hour until reaching 8 oz) and I had to stop at 4 oz tonight. I felt VERY full and felt as if I could not handle much more (had a similar experience with the bariam swallow the day after surgery.) Overall, I am doing great and all of your throughts and prayers have meant the world to me. What would we do without this community of people that understand exactly what we are going through/been through. Thanks again and I will keep my web-page updated!

from one Georgia Peach to another, Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
