Scared

I really want to get this surgery to be more health and live longer but the 14000 I was quoted here in the US is just to much. I am so scared to go to mexico though. My husband side he won't go because of all the crime and violence and I have no one else. Is the area that bad. Please someone give me guidance and let me know that if I go alone I won't die in Mexico. Ps I can't speak Spanish.
