I am at my comfort zone now.  Things are getting easier to eat.  I crave too much and I try to make mindful of what I should and should not be eating.  Some days are easier than others.  It is a constant reminder of the surgery being a "tool" and not a cure. I think I will always have the mental struggles with weight.  To this day, I see the old me when looking in the mirror.  I know the changes that have been made but I still see the obese person starring back at me.
Cosmetic surgery is on my wish list at this point.  Wish I may, wish I might......
Regardless of the emotional struggles which I am sure most of us have, I wouldn't change the decision to have surgery AT ALL!  It has been the best thing.

Almost a year

Well, it's been almost a year since surgery and what a difference a year makes!  I am down 117 pounds and feel wonderful.

I had a great time last evening at the yearly St Vincent Christmas party.  I was able to meet a lot of new friends.  What a wonderful group of people!!!

I am looking forward to 2007 and all the new things I will be able to do now that I don't have the excess baggage!

Wow.  This is the first time I have attempted to update my profile and I see that they have changed the way we do things.  This is a lot for someone that is not that computer savy.

Wonderful news......I had a check up with my surgeon thursday and everything is great.  I am down 110 pounds and things are going well!  God is good!
