My journey to weight loss.....I started researching WLS in 2002 after my divorce. I had always been the Fat girl..You know the girl..the one with the pretty face...the good friend... Even looking back at my baby pictures I was the cute chubby baby. (Thanks mom for the soda in the bottle..lol) I scheduled a consult with Dr Gorospe's office and Dr Katsis's office. I decided to use Dr Gorospe because he already had performed a few thousand weight loss surgeries and everyone that I talked to recommened him. I went for my consult but my insurance would not cover the surgery. Well...if you want something bad enough...you will make it happen!! I changed jobs and the new insurance went into effect on my first day..yeah!!! I called Dr Gorospe's office and gave them my new insurance info and within one week I had received my approval letter from UHC. I called the office and set my surgery date for March 22, 2004. I had two weeks to complete my surgery clearance appointments...OMG!! Talk about RUSH RUSH RUSH!!!
