2 weeks post op...

Well as of tomorrow. :)

I had my post op appointment yesterday. I am healing really nice. Scars are barely visible already. I have been using neosporin on them. :)

I weighed in at 278.34. 12 pound drop from my last weigh in there, the day before surgery. According to the nurse that weighed me in that is more than the average person so that made my day.

I came to realize yesterday that their scales are pretty much exactly 4 lbs higher than mine here at home. As I weighed in yesterday at home at 274.4. So I am just going to keep using my scale numbers. (Of course right they make me lighter! )

So I have been offically approved to move onto full liquids. I am getting in about 1/2 gallon to 3/4 gallon in just water and make up the rest in the cream soups, Optifasts, Broth etc.

So he wants me back in 3 weeks for my fill. YEAH YEAH YEAH...I am so excited I can't wait. Not just for the fill but also for the food that I will soon be able to start eating!!!

So other than that I have been a little under the weather and taking some cold meds in hopes of kicking this ill feeling. I hate that. I really hope flu season is not starting early. Need to get my flu shoot soon!!! I kinda want to do it before my first fill so there are no complications with it. I have read other people when getting the flu shot need to be unfilled for about a week in case they get sick and start to throw up.

Other than that we rescued a stray kitten Saturday night, named him Hercules and he is curled up on my chest right now. About 7 weeks old and underweight. Only weighing in at 1 lb.

Also I have started a blog for my band, which has been named lap-band-Laney. It is about mine and her journey on this, what we are eating, how we are losing and just my place to be me about what I am going through.
