About Me. Well, I am 26 years old, mother of two and married for 4 years. I have had problems with my weight since I ws 4. Once I turned 4, I turned fat. I can still remember being poked with needles by my pediatrician to find out what was wrong with me-NOTHING. I have been poked my whole life with needles. Everyone assumes I am diabetic. Thankfully, I am not. YET. With the way my weight is, I am sure I will develop it anyday. I currently have depression, sleep apnea, GERD, knee joint problems, and my periods are not what they should be and come when they want.
I have gone through almost all of the steps to have the surgery. I have had the initial evaluation, I have seen the pshych., I have taken the nutrition and exercise class, I have done the blood work and the Upper GI. All I have left to do is my chest x-ray with the cardio doctor, take my nutrition test, and see the surgeon. I still have a lot of questions to ask. I am VERY ready for this surgery.
I went to the seminar TWICE before I decided to do the surgery. They scared me a lot when I first went. The second time, I was determined to get the surgery. I feel that I am to the point that something needs to be done, and it is not something I can do all on my own. Every wish me the best of luck as I will do with some of you.
