Started looking around this board in January due to the recommendation of a person that lost weight through VSG surgery.
My Husband lost his job in late January so we had to pick new issues.  The choice was all done if wls would be covered and it seemed Kaiser was the best choice.
As soon as I was enrolled I started the process by visiting my primary Doctor which told me I did NOT need a referral to Positive Choice which was who does the Bariatric surgery.
I called them and was told to get Health Assessment Test part 1 and then call for Orientation to program.  I have been on this board asking question all about Kaiser requirments.
I got my test done and went to orientation today.  Was told I need a 6 month proof of Nutritional Education and I need to do a 6 month class prior to surgery.  That is a one year weight.  Ofcourse I have done Weight Watchers but do not have any proof.  I have taken many Fitness classes in College but since it was not a Nutritional and Fitness class it does not count.  So here I start my mission of trying to figure out how I am going to be doing this and not loose my hope.  I am almost 300 pounds and feel terrible becasue I can not move around with my kids.  It is summer and all I do is sit in my room because it is so hot outside.  I gotta to do something soon.  I have a lot of fear of this weight gain.
