My name is Kathleen. I am the single mother of two boys, work as a transplant nurse coordinator, and I am in a long term relationship with a great man. I have struggled with my weight all my life. The pst seven years I have gained over 100 pounds and my health has spiraled down hill quickly. I have looked into WLS several times and for one reason or another the time was not right.. I made the decision in April of this year to start the process once again. Everything has fallen into place and here I am two weeks on the other side of surgery. This site has been wonderful for me. I researched surgery, asked questions, read blogs, and used this site for so many different reasons. I look forward to making this journey and sharing with all of you out there. This is the most important decision I have made regarding my health. This surgery was a matter of life and death for me and I need all the help I can get. I am blessed with wonderful family and friends and I have a strong faith in God. I have made the decision to save my life. I have a long road ahead of me, but I am looking forward to the journey fjor the first time in so many years. I finally feel like I am back in the game.
