I have always struggled with my weight (as well we all have).  When I graduated high school (1995), I weighed 275 lbs.  My weight my first year out of school managed to get down to about 150.  However that was very short lived.  Soon it went up and up and up.  I was told that I just need to move more, or eat less.  But, however, I am also an Insulin Dependant Diabetic since the age of 13.  I was constantly picked on during my school years due to my weight.  I had enough of it.  I was looking at gastric bypass for a about a year.  Finally I decided on it.  My family was
skeptical on why I wanted to do this. But after I explained to them that I can't do this by myself, and I have thought that I have hit rock bottom, then  they started to understand.  I did some long hard thinking and alot of research before I actually spoke with my primary MD.  I told him my concerns of why I thought I wanted to have this surgery.  He wanted to make me sure that I understud of what I will have to do for the rest of my life.  And, my words to him where that I completely understand that this is a life long commitment, and that I am ready to start my new life!! He recommended me to a surgeon at Sisters Of Charity Hospital --> Dr. Joseph Caruana.  So, Dr. C, here I come.  Ready or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
