1 year surgiversary

Holy crap!  Where does a year go?  If anyone had told me this time last year how happy I would be that I did this I may not have believed them.  I have had so few complications, and the ones Ive had are mostly food related and my own fault for not following the rules.  Today I hover between 135 and 140lbs.  At my lowest that put me -125lbs from the beginning of the process.  My workout routine for the moment consists of cardio 5/6 times a week and weight lifting no less than 4.  I am working on building muscle so i expect my weight could increase a few more lbs before I am done. 
As far as sizes go, Im a 2/4 pant size and a small top.  Keep in mind Im 5.8 so i stretch out my skin more than someone shorter might. 
I would like to have plastics in my future.  Most likely a new set of boobs... they are horrible, but so far I havent' encountered that the boys mind too much.  I guess it mostly bothers me.  The only other thing is maybe a thigh lift. I carried most of my weight there so they are pretty wrinkly.  I have loose skin on my belly but not so bad that clothes don't hide it, so if i have to live with it thats ok.

Holy crap!  I am almost a year out!!!!  This has been the fastest craziest year ever.  So many things have changed within myself.  I feel like i did 15 years ago. I have my confidence back, I feel good, I look so much better than i did last year at this time!  RNY gave me ME back.  I love to go shopping - Its my new vice :)
Gap After Christmas was so much fun!!!!  I bought most of my pants in a 4 - I had to get (1) 6 still.  But I am so ok with it!!!  My shirts are a small or an EXTRA small!  I never thought i could be one of those people. 
I am taking back up skiing this year after an 8 year long break.  I am excited to get outdoors more and more.
So lets see this month stats goes as follows.

Weight 139lbs (up and down by 1lb a lot)
I think thats still a 7lb loss from last month.

So i did the math from February and it appears i have lost 82 inches. at least in the places i have measured  THATS ALMOST 7FT OF FAT GONE!!!!!!

9 Months and Happy holidays

Its a little strange that my 9 month surgiversary landed on Turkey day....

Anyway.
A couple weeks ago I had my first round of Vericose Vein removal.  All in all it wasn't too bad of an experience.  They can only do a half leg at a time so Ill be going back in a month for another round.  The leg that they did looks so much better..... now all i need is a thigh lift and Ill be all set :)
On the down side for two weeks Im under cardio restriction...I am missing my treadmill dearly.
So without being able to run I have only lost 4lbs this month.  I know at month 9 a loss is a loss, but its tough after putting up big numbers until now.  I shouldn't complain, I am at goal and -4lbs....But i thought I was going to be able to drop more.  Hopefully this isn't the end of the losing for me. 
As for the inches not much has changed, maybe a quarter inch  here or there but nothing worth recording this month.  Come monday Im back on the regular plan with diet and exercise (thank god the first holiday is over with).
Feeling great however. Wearing size 6 Jeans from Gap and BR so that makes me pretty happy!!!!!  I haven't been a 6 well..... EVER!!!  I can remember being a 10 in JR High.

SOOOOO.....  I should have listened when they said the loss would slow down eventually.  Im standing still on my weight bouncing up and down between the same 2lbs.  Im somewhere between 150 and 152, depending on the day lately and how much i work out.  I wish it would just stay a solid 150 for a week or two... or maybe im waiting for the big WOOSH and 3lbs will come off when i least expect it (yeah right) 
Don't get me wrong im not complaining. I have made my original goal of 150lbs in under 8 months... thats terrific!!!  its an average 12+ lb loss a month.  My eating could be better some days.  I find that when im at work im very disciplined and good good on water and protein but when Im at home bored I stray.... I have started throwing out any food that isn't on my "approved" lifestyle plan.... that really pisses off your family :)    But they should know to hide it by now.

So lets do the math thats  - 7.5 inches... hmmm really???  I can't see it.
I added a couple of measurements that I don't normally do but I was measuring for pants and figured I should keep track of them.

Inches  working on those gross thighs and another half inch off the waist would be nice.... 

Month 7.. slowing down

So here I sit at Month 7.  Things have slowed down and I know its partially my own fault.  Im eating fairly well but I find myself straying more often then before.  I need to get back to the basics for a few weeks.  My plan was to work out 5 days a week but apparently life is getting in the way these days and Im only getting in 3 days.  Ill do better this coming month. 
I have reset my goal. I am currently sitting 8 lbs from my original goal of 150lbs. Now Im thinking I may try to hit 140.  I just want to be a solid size 8 and my thighs are preventing that from happening. 
Thats about it for this months recap... here are the stats.

Weight 158   - 8lbs this month  I was shooting for 11lbs....
Measurements:
Calf - 14.5
Waist 33  But fitting into 30 waist jeans and pants, and a 10 womens pant.  so maybe i  can't measure.

            - 6inches

Goal for next month 148lbs
                                     .5 inches of my thighs....
I better get working out!!!!!



Month 6

So If you had told me 6 months ago how good I would feel today I would have never believed you!  Its funny when you are in pain and only drinking fluids how you seem to think it was never going to end... but it did and I am so happy that I made it through the tough parts to get to where I am today. 
Food is my friend most of the time now.  I have been getting in my fluids with the help of special K protein Ice tea mix.  I am usually on the low end of my reccomended protein totals but Im getting better now that its easier to eat.  I try to do some form of exercise everyday.. I try to do at least 30-45 mins of cardio each day (I have started hiking) and I try to do 4 days of weights.  Im just getting into Bikrahm Yoga (Hot yoga) and that burns like 1200 calories in a 90 min class so YEAH for that!!!
Anyway, enough of my rambles!!!  I go in for 6 month labs tomorrow so ill post the results when i get em.
OH YEAH I forgot to mention I am 2lbs away from being a "NORMAL" BMI!

Yesterday was my 5 month surgiversary.  This month seems to be moving slower in the weight loss dept.  But I still managed to meet my goal for the month I just had to work extra hard at it!!!!  Food isn't so much the enemy anymore.  I have basically learned finally to eat slow and not worry about how much is still left over.  Its hard to break 30 years of bad habits.  Still start every morning with a protein shake just to make sure Im getting my minimum requirement each day.  My new fav food is watermelon.  I have it almost everyday and Its like a dessert for me!  I don't have any problems dumping on natural sugars. (man made ones are a whole other issue)

Month 4 and still plugging away

OK so tomorrow is really my 4 month surgiversary...However Ill be at Foxwoods for two days so i better put this in today!  

Lets see.... Diet well its kind of all over the map.  One day ill get 40g of protein the next ill get 80g.  Ive started eating weight watchers wheat bread with PB or make it into a grilled cheese.  I don't seem to have any problems with bread as long as its toasty.  And lets face it - It just tastes good!  OH and a new staple in my house is smuckers Sugar free jams!  SO GOOD!!!!
Anyway.. Im exercising about 4 or 5 times a week. Still cardio mostly.  I have been working in my yard spreading loam and sodding so I count that as my exercise those days cus its hard work!  
Missed a few support group meetings but got to go this week and its so nice to see everyone and how well they are doing.  Its very encouraging.

Im currently at 189LBS and wearing a 34 Jean!  Huh who would have thought!  My tops are Large and a couple of mediums.  


3 Months and loving it!!

Today I am 3 months out of surgery.  I have no regrets that I did this.  I have had my good days and my bad days like anyone.  I still drink at least one protein shake a day mostly because the pouch is a grouch in the AM.  I seem to dump on Fats not sugars (but mostly they go hand in hand)  I have been able to eat crackers and thin breads and small amounts of pasta... go figure!!  I really watch my intake everyday and very rarely eat more than 700 calories or more than 50 carbs.  I still get the night time munchies and try to limit this as much as i can.
