5 to 6 weeks out
Sep 18, 2009
A week ago today, I felt so bad. I thought it was the Chilie I ate at Wendy's, (about 5 teaspoons) maybe so, but there are many other things it could have been.I have not been able to get back on the vitamins. When I try to take them, it seems they go right through me. It was nearly time for a blood test, so I had one yesterday, there were 2 areas in which I was low. Next week, I go back to dr. we will see what happens.
I've also notice I cannot drink water like I did before surgery. I use to glup water, pouch does not appreciate that now, and it does not seem to like cold drinks -- but my mouth does! I've tried a lot of drinks, but I like decaf tea (no sweetner) the best.
Because of the upset last week, I've lost nearly 40 lbs since Aug. 6, surgery date. Clothes I have not worn in years are feeling comfortable. I think people are just now beginning to notice a change.
I think this has been a pretty hard adjustment. Learning how to eat slowly and small bites, even though I was suppose to do this duing the pre-surgery time, it is difficult, especially when you are starved. If I had not had the gastric surgery, do you think I would still be on this diet? no way. I had to have more drastic steps, the fear of getting sick eating sweets or too much.
Accountability - sometimes I hate that word!
