Goodbye 50 pound!!
Jul 10, 2007
Today is a wonderful day! According to the scales at the gym I have lost 50 pounds since I started this adventure! I had surgery less than three months ago and I have lost 50 pounds! That is amazing to me. I weigh less now than I have in so long.
I can eat almost anything. I haven't tried anything fried, and I don't intend to. I eat healthy, go to the gym 2-3 days a week, and walk or ride bike almost every day. I get in my protein and my water.
I am do glad I had this surgery done! I can't wait to get my blood test results (going in the next 2-3 days) and have my three month check up!
Post Surgery

Well, I had my surgery on April 26th. Everything went very well. My surgery was delayed an hour because the patient before me took longer. No problem. I was in my room by early afternoon. I felt fine. The drugs really helped!
On the 27th, I went down to X-ray to check for leaks and drank that nasty stuff. It really didn't taste that bad, but afterward I was sooooo hot. My face was burning up. I was nauseous for the rest of the day. Couldn't even keep an ice chip down! 16 hours later, I was a new person. I felt much better and ate some jello.
I came home on Saturday and everything has went great! I took the (nasty) liquid pain meds Saturday night before bed and haven't touched them since. I have some mild discomfort if I move wrong, but I am great. The first two days I spent on the couch. Today I was quite active. I feel strong and energetic.
I had an appointment on Monday with my pulmonologist. They weighed me. I had lost 16 pounds already!
This is great! I can't wait to lose 50 and then 100 and then more!
