Hi Jennifer~ I read your post and really felt for you. I know it must be discouraging to not see the number go down. But trust in your friends and family when they say they see the change. Trust your clothes. Throw that scale away (if you have one) and give it another 4 weeks (next Dr. visit?) before you even begin to think this wasn't for you. So many posts I've read of women who didn't lose after their first 3 weeks come back with JOYOUS results the next time they have their Dr. appt. So, don't get discouraged. Keep your head high, drink your water like crazy - and keep the protein coming in. I'm PRE-op and can't wait to see you come back with a happy Dr. report next time.. because I KNOW you will :)

Jennifer, don't be discouraged! Your weight will fluctuate wildly the first few weeks. You had IVs in the hospital and may still be carrying some of the water from those. I GAINED 9 lbs in the hospital! It finally came off around the 10 day mark along with a few more lbs. I also had to take colace to treat constipation, which helped me drop a few more lbs. You'll be fine, just hang in there!!!

Hey Jennifer, I read your post on the message board. Don't be hard on yourself. Have you been drinking all your water? Have you had regular bowel movements? This all can play a part in what you think is gain. It happen to me a week ago I gained a pound. I freaked out! I was constipated, and not getting all my water in. I hadn't been walking my 15-20 minutes either. Once I focused on those things. I took benefiber, increased my water and walker 15 minutes 2 times a day and the following week I lost the 1 pound and 4 more buddies. Don't get discourage! Keep your mind on what you know you should be doing and that scale will move. Take Care
