At my highest ever I was 311 pounds. When I look at pictures I just want to cry! I never saw myself as truly fat person I was. At my last surgery consult about a month before surgery I was at 280. I know I gained some before my actual surgery, but I didn't weigh because I didn't want to know! I just know that I am thankful that RNY will hopefully change my life and ensure an improvement in my health for many years to come!
I was not a fat kid or teen. I didn't seriously begin to gain weight until I married and had children. The loss of eight pregnancies took at toll on me and I rode a wave of gaining and loosing for about 10 years. With each loss came a vengeful gain of a few more than where I started. I can lose weight, I just can't keep it off!!
