Lisa... Your 2 year is comming up! I read your last entry and want to encourage you. You have done so much, just keep on keeping on. Enjoy all that you HAVE accomplished. Let your success motivate you not your perceived failures. I hope this year and perhaps the nice summer weather have helped you with your resolutions. Thank you for your encouragement along my journey! Blessings and congrats! Nancy

Dear Lisa, Congrats on finally getting approved. I had a distal roux n y done almost 2 years ago here in California. My husband is in the Navy so as of mid April we will be stationed in Everett. I have been looking for a follow up doc in that surrounding area and it seems like Dr. Weber is great and he also takes TriWest which is a huge deal. It has been very hard to find a DISTAL doc who takes TriWest. I just dont wanna move from here in Cali to up in Everett and not have a doc who knows how to do great follow up with Distals which we all know differ highly from the other types of roux n y's. So, Anyhow, I would love to talk further with you if you wouldnt mind. Please email me at [email protected] Most Sincerely, Heather :)

I have been home since Friday early afternoon and feeling pretty good. I have my down moments but it is easy to pop out of them. I am getting use to getting my fluids in and trying to remember to eat a little as well. Making sure things are coordinated at the right time so I can take my vitamins and pain meds... Thanks for all the well wishes, they were so nice to read everyday. Lisa

Hi Lisa! Congrats on having your surgery! Let the weight loss begin!! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. Take those pain pills and splint the tummy! These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. Some days those emotions will resurface and try to get the best of you, but just remember what you’ve been through to get this far! I’m sure you’ll be proud of what you’ve accomplished!! You know you can always come here and get a dose of confidence and good will! We will still be here to support you and cheer you on as the pounds come off! I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!! Wishing you much success in your weight-loss journey. Today you burst out of that cocoon and become a beautiful butterfly! Tomorrow you’ll spread those wings and embark on a wonderful journey! Soft hugs to you today. God bless, DI from NJ - Lap RNY, 12/09/03 ~In Loving Memory of Momma Angel~

Hello Lisa ~ Well, by the time you read this you'll already be out of surgery and well on your way to recovery. By the way, as you already know, you have the absolute BEST surgeon working on you. How do I know this? Because Dr. Weber was MY surgeon too. I did a LOT of research before I chose him and it was the best (absolute best) decision I could have ever made. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions. This is a new learning experience for all that choose WLS and we draw so much from each other. There can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a successful and uneventful surgery. <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> .....Hugs and Smiles : )
