" I know, O LORD of LOVE and LIGHT, about the need. Touch my heart anew with your DIVINE LOVE and LIGHT that I too may receive and give, sending your healing touch to others in need. I invoke your DIVINE LOVE and LIGHT towards Excellent Health, Loving Relationships, Right Livelihood and Right Alignment with my and soul's purpose. I wish to align myself with ALL THAT IS, my own I AM PRESENCE. I now open myself to receive your gifts and with your DIVINE GUIDANCE I will give to others and give thanks for the SPIRITUAL ABUNDANCE in my Life." SO BE IT, IT IS SO.

Laura, I know what you mean about the waiting. It is the hardest part. I thought I would share with you how I am getting through it. First, I called my doctor and asked if I could come in and get all my paper work filled out. You know get your chart done. Insurance cards, drivers lincense copy and so on. They said I could so I did that on my lunch hour one day. Then I asked them what else the doctor would require. Seems you have to see a film and read two little books before he will see you. Rather than do that at my appointment I went on and saw the film and read the books. They also will need a history of your weight loss attempts with dates - weight loss and gain. If you were on any diet pills, list the name of the doctor with his address and phone number. When I saw how much work was going to go into my first visit, I got busy. I got copies of all my medical records for the past 5 years. Typed the diet list. Got a letter from my boss stating that my weight causes me not to be able to do certain things at work. Got a letter from my daughter stating that my weight has effected our family. When I had everything ready I called and told the nurse. One day someone cancelled and I landed their consult date of 8/12/02, from a doctor that is so booked he can't see ANYONE new until 2003! I fully intend to do the same with my preop requirements. Use this time to be ready. When you have all your ducks in a row, you can walk right in when someone else cancels. It does happen. People get scared, sick, move..ect Good Luck to you. Pam
