My story starts out like this, I was a skinny child growing up in NJ. I couldn't gain weight if i tried and i would eat and eat and i wouldn't put on any weight. I played sports since i was 4 years old and i was always on the go. My Senior High School year i weighed 190 lbs. at 6'5". I played football, basketball and i ran track. I attended Wilkes College, later Wilkes University, and i played college basketball. I weighed 235 lbs while playing my Senior year at Wilkes.

Years went by and i eventually became a State Police Officer and i slowly started to gain some weight. I received an injury which kept me from running and to this day still gives me pain when running or during any strenuous activity while on my feet.

Due to the inactivity, i started to really put on the weight. I weigh 339 lbs at the present time, but because of my height, i carry it very well. I am not happy at my appearance nor am i happy about my physical abilities. My goal is to get down to my college weight and get in better physical condition.

I know i have to take one day at a time and i am considering the Lap Band surgery to help with my goal. I try to work out as much as i can, but i cannot lose the weight. I have been on a Yo-Yo diets for years and it just doesn't work. I know i have a problem and i need to take of my weight problem and keep myself healthy.

I am ready to accept the fact that i need help before its too late and i suffer major medical problems.
