It's been a really long time since I updated this!  I am almost 6 months out (will be on 05/07) and I have lost 73 lbs.  I am wearing size 12 and still some 14's.  It is hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I am this size!  I didn't ever see myself as heavy as I was (I do now when I see pics!!!) and I am having a hard time seeing myself as a size 12!  I am thinking about changing my goal weight to 150.  I don't want to get too small (never had that problem before!).  I feel wonderful, no complications what so ever!  This surgery is a true miracle for obese people!  People ask me if I have any regrets and I must say that I do have one regret..............that I didn't do this sooner!  My entire life has changed.  I carry myself differently, I feel good about my self and how I look and I think that makes me a much nicer person all the way around.  Things that used to bother me, don't anymore.  I am not always on guard about my weight.  I can wear my husband's t-shirts and that is AWESOME!  If you are reading this and thinking about the surgery, my advise is, find a good dr. and go for it!!!!  It is the best thing I have ever done for myself.  Oh, and "Hi Annie!!"

Here I am, 4 months out (well in 2 days) and I am down 57 lbs.  I weigh in at 178!!!!  I haven't weighed that since highschool!  I went shopping this weekend and found fantastic sales!  Everything that I bought is a 14!!!!!!!!!!  Still can't believe it.  I still see the same old fat self when I look in the mirror.  When I see pictures I can see the loss.  In the back of my mind I am thinking "this isn't really happening, I'll wake up tomorrow morning and it will all be back!"  Does anyone else feel this way?  This is something that I have wanted so bad for so long that my mind is having a hard time accepting that it is really happening!  Go back to the dr. for a check on March 15th.  I will fill you in on the progress after that.

Think spring..................it can't be long now.............

I went to visit my sister and neices today and we went to Kohls, just to look around. My sister hadn't seen me for 4 weeks and she was shocked at how I looked. I had on blue jeans (first time in 25 years!!) and they just kept on and on about how good I looked!  Anyway, the jeans I had on today are a size 16 (down from a tight 20).  I found a pair of off-white cords at Kohls (on sale for $6.80!!) but they were a size 14.  My sister insisted that I try them on....and they fit!!!!!!!!!!!  I screamed in the dressing room at Kohls, I guess everybody thought I was crazy!  I could not believe that I was actually able to wear a size 14!!!  In my mind, I thought I could only wear a 16 because the pants I wear to work were all elastic waist.  Then when my son & dil got me a pair of 16 jeans for my birthday, I thought there was no way I could wear them.  They were actual snap & zip jeans!!!!  No elastic!!!  But I CAN wear them and I feel super in them!  This surgery is the absolute best thing I have ever done for myself.  I am off one of my BP meds, and hope to come off the other soon!  Life is good.........

Hello all! A nasty day here in NC......sleet, freezing rain, suppose to snow tonight.........tomorrow morning getting to work will be interesting! Had my 2 mo checkup last week and I am down 45 lbs!!!! I now weigh 192..............that is just awsome. I have cleaned out my closet and my wardrobe now consist of 1 black turtleneck, 6 sweaters and 4 pair of pants!!! Can't wait till I get to goal and I can SHOP!!!!!

Went to the dr. today and I AM IN ONEDERLAND!!! I weighed in at 199!!!! Can't believe that I am below 200!!! I am down a total of 37#'s. Feel so good! I'm going to have to buy some clothes...mine are all getting really baggy. Goodwill, here I come.

I went to see Dr. Cox today for my 2 week check. I am down 15 pounds!!!!!!!!! He said since I am considered a "light-weight" that I will lose slower than some. Hey, I am happy with 15 pounds! Got the word to go back to work on Friday!! Oh boy! I am ready to go back, I am getting really sorry being at home! Still feeling fine. Nut. said to eat whatever I feel like, but stay away from beef and pork. I go back to the dr on Jan. 3.

I think the my dr. was just pulling my leg! I don't think he really did surgery on me! I am still feeling so good, I am guilty for not being at work! I am tolerating my foods well. No soreness, sleeping well, everything is working just like it should! I go back to the dr. on 11-22 so I suppose I will return to work on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving). Hope all is well with everyone!

I feel SO good! I can't even tell that I have had surgery! I am tolerating food really well. I have been out and about, visited the girls I work with and ran by my PCP office to check my BP and weight.............I am down 14 lbs in one week! Man am i ever excited! I don't think it has hit me yet that I am REALLY going to lose this weight!!!!! I have tried so many things in the past and nothing worked! I am so looking forward to the new me. Sister in law took some pics tonight, going to try and figure out how to put them on!! Sandra

Well, I had my surgery on 11-7-06 and came home on the 9th. I am doing really great.....time is just going so slow for me. I know I'll feel better when I can drive and get out and go. No problems getting in all my liquid....protein is another matter. I'll work on that tomorrow. Going to get out of the house.....go vist dear son & daughter-in-law.

The time is drawing near. My surgery is scheduled for November 7, 2006.....5 short days away. I am working really hard on the pre-op diet, but it is very hard.
