Hello Everyone, I made it through surgery and I am now back home. I was in the hospital 4 days becuase my oxygen level kept dropping and I had such severe migrains. I'm a little emotional. I was eating before surgery like I'd be eating after surgery but add in the time schedule for everything and it is overwhelming. My husband who is my ANGEL has really stuck with me through everything. He's trying to keep me on schedule. I can not believe we got 24" of snow and Carmel got 15" of snow. I slept most of the ride home. It took Bill 6 1/2 hours to get us from Carmel, St. Vincent Hospital back to Evansville. It usually takes 3 1/2 hours to go one way. Thank you everyone here for your support and prayers. Email me any question you may have. I will always be thankful for my friends here on ObesityHelp.com. With love and appreciation, Mary Salmon [email protected]

Surgery had to be cancelled on December 6th because of an allergic reaction to liquid pain medicine. My blood pressure soared and there was no way to have surgery on that day. I am rescheduled for Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 1:30 PM. I am very thankful that since Dr. Jones was booked with surgeries until the end of the year, that Dr. Brenda Caccuci has agreed to be my surgeon. After we return home either myself or my husband will post here to let everyone know how I did this time. I want to thank everyone for their support, prayers and good thoughts. You all have carried me this far. Hopefully someday I will be able to help others starting out on this Journey in the same way you all have been so wonderful to me. See you on the Losers Side.
