"My surgeon is Dr. Malcolm K Robinson at Brigham and Women's in Boston Ma. My first appointment I met him, I didn't have to go thru nurses and dieticians and psychiatrists. I was impressed with this because I have been overweight forever, am intelligent enough to have researched this before hand, and know my own history. Every where else I called I would have had to this. Not that maybe all of this isn't necessary, but I'd rather meet first the guy who is going to stick a knife in me and take my life into his hands--then I'll go thru all the other stuff. I'd like to say that he was the most patient doctor I've ever met. I threw everything at him I could think of and more! He answered everything with respect and made me feel real at ease. His office staff has been wonderful as well! Unfortuneatly I've been declined on first go around with the insurance (I'm "only" 200# overweight and "only" have sleep apnea). The office women listened to me rant and rave and almost cry with utmost in kindess and patience. My only wish is that I wish they hadn't scheduled the surgery until I had approval from the insurance. I had had everything planned out with jobs and kid care. This was/is my experience only.
Well, I had my surgery, He was great, was the only surgeron to personally goto the family waiting room to talk to the family, all the other surgeons had been calling, and when he showed up, my mom said she almost fainted because she was sure it was bad news :-)He is still the most polite, patient doctor I have ever met!"
