Preston Carter

"I realize that I am only one of his patients, but I like Dr Carter very much. He saved my life twice. My impression of him increased as he listened and helped me get through all this before a whole lot of dietary info was available. The staff was pretty good. The only thing I don't like is the lack of current access-but that has to do with the military insurance and not with Dr Carter. I think he is great and would highly recommend to anyone needing/wanting the surgery. At the time their wasn't any aftercare dietary wise available-it's been 4 1/2 years now and a support group was established as of today. He did address the risks of the surgery, and as miserable as I was it really didn't matter. Although I didn't really understand the actual changes that I would need to be making until afterwards. I would rate him a 10. For me both competence and bedside manner are important. I do understand that I don't have anything negative to say about him. He saved my life. The only negative thing I could say is that the staples used to close the incision were taken out too soon and it reopened-but that was minor compared to the good things that have happened. 200+ lbs ago."
