Atlanta Medical Center (COE)

"It is hard enough to be morbidly obese without feeling like an alien in a hospital that is designed for the average sized person. I immediately felt comfortable when I went in for my pre-op testing and was given a gown that was too big. It is comforting to feel "normal" in an environment that is understandably stressful. Everyone at AMC from the security guards at the main entrance to the nurses and technicians that are treating you are all so helpful. A security guard walked me to the area I was looking for without even being asked. He saw I looked lost and offered to show me the way. People just go above and beyond and it makes all the difference in your perceptions of the hospital as a whole."
