Well, I'm just sittin' here thinking that I should actually do something on my page.
So here is my HERSTORY...
I have been heavy off and on since I was in Brownines. I remeber going to get fitted for my brownie camp uniform and the brown uniforms didn't fit. So, I had to get a guide camp uniform. I think that was when I decided that I would not let my body size dictate who I am and who I was going to be. I battled with the bulge for as long as I remember.
One of my biggest memories of binging was when my sister was discharged from the hospital after having MAJOR surgery. She had lost so much weight that my Mum made these freezer cookies. I would sneak in there and scarf down a few at a time.
I also remeber being in grade 6 and standing on the scale and it read 138 lbs. I think I weighed what the teacher did! But when I looked at myself in the mirror I did not see this chubby kid.
I remeber the year I discovered dexatrim! I ate so many of those puppies I broke out in an "unexplained" rash. Like I was going to tell my Mum or Dr. that I had consumed twice the amount you were supposed to have!
I was quite heavy in College. Got bigger as time passed by.
Time passed and my pant size went up higher and higher.
I realized last year when I fell that I was well beyond help. Help, without intervention.
I started my journey for real then.
So....that's my story so far....
