I had my 6 week check up today and I lost 15 more pounds for a total of 28 pounds lost since surgery.  HOWEVER, they told me that I should have lost more by now.  So, I need to make sure that I eat ONLY protein.  This was a really sad appointment.

I had my 2 week check-up today and I have lost 13 pounds for a total of 17 pounds gone forever.  YEA!!!

The surgeon said that the procedure went well.  Time  in the hospital was uneventful - no complications.  Can't really get comfortable on the bed; so I will try the chair tonight.  I have a lot of gas that I can't seem to pass.  Other than that, everything seems to be going ok.

I can't believe it has arrived already.   I am so excited (and nervous); but, oh so ready to begin this next phase.  My sons were so sweet this morning - gotta love 'em.

I went for my cardiac clearance yesterday and the doc says that the EKG indicates that I may have had a heart attack in the past; but, he doesn't think this is accurate so now we have to do a treadmill test just to be safe. SCARY

I received my surgery date today.  It will be January 20, 2010 - I am soooooo excited.

Aetna called today and they are sending out the letter of approval for my surgery!!!  That makes me very happy.  Now I just have to get approval from a Cardiologist, Pulmanary Specialist, and Upper GI.  YEA

Paid the surgeon the application fee yesterday so they can submit paperwork for insurance approval.  Now I am anxiously waiting for Aetna.

I had the final of 3 visits with the Psychologist and Dietician last week.  I meet with the surgeon tomorrow and I will find out when we can submit all of the paperwork for insurance approval.  One more step in the right direction...
