Thank you, Roxana. What an inspiration. I'm pre-op and stories like this give me such encouragement that I'm making the right choice. Michelle in WA

Well, it's been 2 years and I am at a steady weight of 180lbs -- down from my starting weight of 345lbs! I still can't believe have my life feels now...I'm more relaxed and at peace with myself. I have had to work on that part - the emotional part- quite a bit. Losing my armor and all! Thankfully I did. To anyone considering this surgery, I highly recommend it and please know that you will have work to do...stay active, eat smart, and be emotionally healthy with yourself. Best of health to you all. -Roxana

hi roxanna, i know exactly what you are saying..i had surgery jan.16th,and lost like 37 lbs..then at my 1 month stage i plateau'd.i even gained 1 lb.. got depressed..i drink 32 oz of water(can't fit anymore, unless i don't eat),walked daily..now i ride a bike for 30 mins..ate very small amounts of food.. but i was eating 1/2 piece of toast daily with my egg.. it's hard to imagine that small amount can keep me from losing..so i was bummed, but then i started really coming back to this site, talking with a certain lady sharon(who is the coolest),and found out that plateau's just happen, our bodies losing so much so fast, puts it in a tailspin and it needs to catch up..i felt so much better knowing that everyone goes through this.. i plateau'd for 3 weeks almost..as of yesterday morning,i am losing again..and am very happy..it will happen for you, you'll see.. i did quit the bread,we'll see if that helps.. i weigh on monday mornings and friday mornings..but when i was plateauing i weighed everyday.. it is hard not to,i know... i wish you the very best..it will happen.. and walking is great..keep up the good work..take great care, and have an awesome day..:> jeanne/ca..:>

Only three days till the big life changing day. I know your nervous and scared, I am and mine isnt scheduled until the 20th of this month. Just keep in mind, there are alot of people out here praying for you. Although most of us don't know one another in person, there is alot of support here on this site, and I wish you the very best.
