I can't believe I started this journey Nov of 05.  I started out in Findlay, Ohio.  My primary insurance was Medical Mutual.  I had to do sleep testing, nut doctor, etc.  When it came time to turn in all the information they said I needed 6 months of dieting with my family doctor.  I was on the last month of dieting and then my husbands employeer made a big announcement.  They were changing the place that took care of insurance but the insurance would remain the same.  I thought I would check it out to make sure guess what.  They decided to get rid of bariatric surgery.   I do have a secondary insurance but it had to be at a center of excellance.  The center I went to was not a center of excellance.

I decided to try to find a Center of Excellance doctor.  That is when I met Dr. Clarey and Dr. Bruce.  Everything moved so fast after going to them.  Dr. Bruce couldn't believe how long it has taken for me to get this done.  My paperwork was transfered to them and since I already had most of my testing done was able to schedule surgery on March 28th.  Ahhhhh...  I am excited, scared, happy, nervous, thrilled, all in one.

Let me add, I am in excellant health.  No blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems etc.  My problem is my back.  I have had 2 major back surgeries and have to lose weight to have another one.  My problem is.  I can't exercise, eat very little so how do you lose weight?

The lord has told if I lose this weight he will help my back.  I know this is what needs to be done.

I read read read on the message boards.  I have days when I am scared because I read all the memorial pages.  Oh, I don't want that to be me.  I want to live and feel better.  I am tired of hurting all the time.  I am tired of my back feeling like I can't move.  I know this will make me better.

I pray things will go great with my surgery.  You guys give me such hope.  I love reading about your experiences.  I would love to have some new friends, but since I have only been a lurker, have only a couple.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

It has been 3 months since my surgery.  I have lost 47 lbs.  Can you believe I am almost 1/2 way to my goal.  I have posted my weight each week so others can see how my weightloss has really been.  I have had 3 stalls since this journey began.  One at 3 weeks, 6 weeks and again at 2 months.  The first time it happened I was sure my surgery failed.  Then all of a sudden after 10 days of losing nothing it started up again.   You do not have to lose weight every week in order to reach goal.  When I wasn't losing weight I did lose inches.  If you are getting scared that your weighloss has ended and you are still in your honeymoon period take a moment to read my blog.  You will see, I felt the same way you do.  Slow and steady is how my weight has come off.
Good luck, and if I can every help please holler.
