My story is complicated. I've been overweight my whole life. I also have a rare heart condition that makes my heart rate go into the high 200 or low 300s. It got to the point where I was so sick that I had to drop out of college and come home. Due to the nature of my illness, I literally could not stand or walk farther then 5 ft before getting so dizzy and light-headed that I fell. Due to this, I've spent a lot of time laying down with my computer or sitting and reading. I've had 6 heart surgeries in the past 2 years that were supposed to fix the cardiac issue. They really didn't do anything but make me exhausted and caused me to log a lot of days in hospitals (they really should give points or something for that.) The entire thing culminated in my getting a pacemaker implanted on July 21 of this year, on my brothers 23 birthday.

I've been looking into bariatric surgery since the fall of 2006 and am very glad to finally be well enough to get the surgery done and hopefully get my life truly going.
