Question:
I have been stuck at losing 118 lbs for 6 months now and keep

losing the same darn 5 lbs over and over again....just like preop....gain, lose, gain, lose, etc. I have tried everything to lose this last 30 lbs and today I joined Curves. I have read the previous Q&A on Curves but would like to ask if anyone has had any real lasting rewards with Curves? I did my first workout today and really worked up a sweat. I have an appointment in September with a plastic surgeon about getting a TT and want to try to lose as close to goal as I can before then. Thanks for any input you may have!    — Mylou52 (posted on July 3, 2003)

I have only praises for Curves. Two years before I had WLS I went to Curves. I only lost 28lbs in about 3 to 4 months, but I lost a lot of inches and firmed up a lot. I, of course, quit. But, since my WLS this is my 4th week of attending again. I can tell a difference already. The scales have moved only 8lbs, but I'm losing inches! When you first start don't get discouraged, because you will stay the same or slightly gain but that is muscle weight. Muscle does help increase your metabolism, and you will eventually start losing. Good luck. I think it is an awesome program.

I am a pre-op and getting closer to surgery. I decided to join a Curves because I was denied at one time for the surgery. Well, I actually got employed there and I love every minute of the work out. You will see wonderful results along with what you already have seen with the surgery. It will tighten and tone you up and I think you will be very happy. Our Curves has only been open for about 8 months and we already have some women that's lost about 47 inches and others lost 20 some inches and so on. Trust me, it's a wonderful workout and you will see the results you are looking for. I do have to say one thing, we had a lady come in that had the surgery but she never worked out. She couldn't get through the workout, so please keep up the workout because you will benefit better. Good job on the pounds gone and I hope you have a long and healthy life ahead of you. Keep Smiling! :)
