Question:
Trouble Sleeping? Skin is alive!!

I did a search in the already posted Q&A's on this. Found that others have the problem. But there weren't any answers posted. I just can't sleep some nights unless I take Tylenol PM. My skin feels like it is alive! It is so sensitive and I just can't stand it. I don't think I'm vitamin deficient, I'm pretty careful with that. I'm nearly 6 months out ... so it's not anesthesia. But WHAT is it? I was wondering if it meant that I was losing weight? (I can hope!) But I sure would like to know. HELP ME and my ALIVE skin! (12:41 a.m. CST)    — Allee Z. I have always had that problem, even before WLS. It helps a little to take benadryl. I take pill form because I'm not sure about the sugar in the liquid. It is always best to tell your doctor and see if he has an answer.

I've had it, too but it's only started happening in the last year or two. It kind of "roams" around...sometimes it's my face or my chest or my arm...it's like my skin is hypersensitive to any touch and it's painful. I have given up and started calling it my "silvery" feeling...like that feeling you get when silverfoil (aluminum) touches a filling in your tooth. I hate it so I completely, completely feel for you! My doc hasn't been much help...I've done the tylenol thing, too for what it was worth. So sorry you're having this problem!
