Hi all. I'm now down 162 lbs. since 1/28/03. I began at 420 lbs. and now weigh 258 lbs. This surgery has saved my life in so many ways. I no longer use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. My blood pressure is within normal ranges (still take blood pressure meds - but I think not for long!). I can walk several blocks without losing my breath. I have my life back! I look forward to the future now - I couldn't do that before. So many change, and I feel like I'm walking on clouds!

Good for you. I know how you feel. I too had the surgery (December 23, 2003) I began this journey at 442 lbs, I have now lost 161 lbs, I now weigh 281 lbs. Like you, life is becoming a wonderful wonderful journey. This surgery is simply amazing isnt it? Keep going girl. our new adventure is still unfolding!!!! Best of luck to you. great to see the post Janet. Have not kept up with the 1/28 WLS. Should send out a mailing and see how everyone else is doing at the end of a year. I am down 94, but my own fault for not going further. I just rearrange the inches - which is not that bad either. Hugs, Carol
