I have not have had any trouble getting the capsules down but I was told if I did, or can be opened and sprinkled in applesauce.

The one they sent me home with was a pill, and I was told to cru**** and drink it in one of my clear liquids, due to not being allowed to have solids in my stomach. Nasty nasty! After about a week of that malarky I just started to take the pill whole. Didn't present a problem, I think it dissolved so quickly once down there that it couldn't be much of a troublemaker.

Mine's a capsule and I've been just opening it into a little 1oz cup and taking it that way.

I was given a script for liquid ranitidine, which is zantac. Start a couple months I switched back to omeprazole because it's my home med, and I was having some breakthrough reflux. I still keep my liquid on hand for breakthrough!
